In this new position, Pounanov will lead 89 Degrees' Digital Marketing Technology Services, managing a team of digital marketing application developers and engineers to offer integrated digital marketing solutions for clients, including email, mobile/tablet, websites and web applications, database and applications, and customer intelligence.
IKEA, hhgregg, Genzyme, the American Cancer Society, Crabtree & Evelyn, Fila, and UNO are some of the clients now using this service to digitally engage with their customers.
Pounanov’s 15+ years of experience in database and software design, technical leadership, management and strategic planning have made him an expert in web application development, user interface design, web services, data warehousing and business intelligence.
Tim has successfully designed and built multi-tier web applications for content management, online collaboration, e-commerce, fulfillment/inventory management, dynamic reporting, image processing, geo-mapping, 3-D visualization, de-duplication and encryption.
Prior to 89 Degrees, Tim was VP, director of software development at agency DraftFCB, New York, and led the application and database development group at DraftWorldwide. His client experience includes Avis, GM, Verizon, HBO, AstraZeneca, Merck, Bank of America, United Healthcare, Compaq, Unilever, Ontario Lottery, Pearson Education and others.
Tim received both a BA and MA in Computer Science from Queens College in New York.
